Topomovies, Double hélice n° 1

This video has been realised from the generative and interactive installation Topomovies.

A 3D torus is covered with moving images. A virtual camera offers spectators an exploration of the structure. The camera is programmed to never offer the same view. In this mobile architecture where the walls are constituted by animated photograms taken from footage sequences, the linearity of the temporal medium that is cinema appears spatialized and blurred. This topological form is an archive which unfolds incessantly in time and whose consultation constitutes for the spectator a singular event. It is a mental sculpture whose design and path offer multiple memory accesses.
