In the post-Internet era, the curator and artist Franck Ancel initiates, as an expert, the exhibition and the auction “Movement Art Technology” for Blancs-Manteaux Auction house in Paris. If the digital arts fairs already exist in Europe, the MAT project joins historical pathway and takes action in the face of economic and technological change of contemporary practices in art in the context of the global digitalization. Fifty years after 9 Evenings: Theatre and Engineering in USA, a milestone in the history of arts, for its first edition the MAT brings together the artists from 1956, the date of the Festival de l’Art d’Avant-Garde in France, up to nowadays. The MAT gathers the art works coming from all over the world that setting of price is highly various, starting from sixty to tens of thousands euros. In this way the MAT attempt to make meet the different generations and collectors. The presence of a quarter of the female artists in this event is also a challenge for a future in tune with our times.
More than thirty French and international artists have responded positively to the initiative of Franck Ancel and some ArtJaws artists such as France Cadet, Félicie d’Estienne d’Orves, Olga Kisseleva, Olivier Ratsi, Rolando Peña or Étienne Rey are also participating to this new auction. Magali Daniaux & Cédric Pigot, for their part, will present and offer for sale their latest creation and first ArtJaws co-production. The first copy of N66 ° 50,629 ‘- W162 ° 34798 ‘, limited edition of fifty transparent vinyls containing ash wood fire, will be visible and available for sale for the first time in the context of MAT # 1 .
