Paul Destieu

Paul Destieu lives and works in Marseille, France. His researches question the evolution of media and their situation in our contemporary environment. His work is noticeably influenced by the history of technologies, languages, sound and cinema. His visual art practice often extends to a wider range of media, looking for new forms of expression and logics through sound, installation, digital practices and architecture. His work grasps tentions between the emergence and disappearence of tools from different times, exploring the border between emergence and collapsing of a system. He is co-founder of Otto- Prod / La Vitrine and currently organizes cultural exchanges and initiatives between France and Slovenia.

This artist has been selected by the guest curator Constance Meffre as part of her second ArtJaws collection entitled «ARCHIVE OF A STRIKE».
